Madeira Girl
Madeira Girl (“Mango”) is a strikingly beautiful mare with impressive, naturally balanced movements, and a rockstar pedigree including Totilas and Don Romantic. Mango is currently in foal to Lantanas for 2023, getting pregnant on the first try with no issues.
Mango is the picture of elegance, standing 17h tall with long legs, refined conformation, and a beautiful, feminine face. She has international-quality movements – a rhythmic walk, elastic trot, and a powerful, balanced canter. Mango was imported in 2021 from the Netherlands. She has a sweet, people-oriented personality and has been incredibly easy to work with and handle.
At both her inspection and IBOP test in the Netherlands, Mango received high marks with an overall IBOP score of 76%, with 8’s for her canter, balance, conformation, and rideability. These scores make Mango eligible for Elite status with KWPN, and the genetic tests to complete this status were recently submitted.
Bloodlines
Mango’s stallion, Trafalgar, is by the legendary Totilas and out of a Lord Loxley mare. Trafalgar received an overall score of 82% in his performance tests, with praise for his willingness, light-footed movement, and elasticity. Mango’s damsire, Don Romantic, was a known producer of top-quality dressage horses, having had more than 17 licensed offspring after winning his own performance test and being named Stallion of the Year in 2010 for the Danish Warmblood Society.
Lantanas
Madeira Girl is currently in foal to Lantanas for 2023. Per Hilltop Farm: “A fresh pedigree, impressive exterior, and three exceptional gaits mark Lantanas as an attractive addition for dressage breeders. His sire, Sir Donnerhall, has over 90 approved sons, 193 States Premium daughters, Young Horse Champions, and many Grand Prix CDI horses to his record. The dam of Lantanas is herself a Prestatie mare who produced 2 licensed stallions, the Grand Prix mare Vitana V, and is the granddam for the Grand Prix stallion Cennin.”
