Description

Zee Zee

4/19/2016 17.2h bay mare

Oldb NA mare by Danish stallion Glock’s Zonik out of Royal Flush* by Royal Prince*****,  Zee is very light footed with powerful ground covering gaits combined with a great brain and rideability. She has an abundance of natural talent and conformation for both breeding and sport. She has 3 world class gaits with a phenomenal canter. She is naturally balanced and has tremendous scope. Zee has the talent for the biggest FEI rings for a professional but also has the brain for a talented junior or amateur in a program. Zee has been brought along carefully and is currently schooling FEI 5 yr old test movements and confirmed 1st level. She has competed in the USDF 4 yr old mare and 5 yr old materiale classes scoring 74-84% with gait scores of 8.9. Hacks out alone or in company and is currently ridden by 5”4” AA rider in a program. This is a great opportunity to own one of the few Zonik offspring in the U.S., Zonik   semen has not been available in the U.S. for several years and he recently died unexpectedly. She would make a great addition to any breeding program.

Glocks’s Zonik N.O.P. ( Zack x Romanov x Don Shufro)  became a premium stallion at the 2011 Danish warmblood licensing and finished 3rd at the 35-day stallion performance test with a score of 8.35 points. Under Andreas Helgstrand he became the 2012 Danish Young Horse Champion that same year. He sold to Gaston Glock in Dec. of 2012 and moved to the Netherlands under Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud. He made his International debut in 2017 and became Dutch Grand Prix Champions 3 years in a row, 2017,2018, 2019. The pair were 8th in the 2018 World Cup finals, represented The Netherlands in the 2018 World Equestrian Games where they were 7th in the Special and won team Silver and placed 6th in Kur to Music at the 2019 European Championships.

Zonik stands out for his power, elasticity and impulsion and natural elevation.. His offspring exhibit great generosity and strength of movement and possess athletic proportions combined with ideal size. He sired numerous successful dressage progeny. His most famous being World Young Horse Champion and Bundeschampion  Zucchero as well as PSI auction price highlight and World Young Horse Championship finalist Zum Gluck. Zhaplin Langholt won the 2018 Danish Warmblood you horse championship and took bronze at the 2019 World Young Horse Championships. Zonik’s sire Zack (by Rousseau) was a KWPN and Danish Ch. Stallion with an avg of 9.22 points. He has sired over 20 licensed sons including the sensational Shezuan.

Zonik’s dam won the bronze medal at her mare performance test, his granddam competed in the final of the Danish Four Year Old Riding Horse Championship with Andreas Helgstrand and has won classes up to Prix St. Georges level. His dam sire Romanov is a Grand Prix winner and Don Schufro contributes quality genes in the third generation.

Royal Flush* (Royal Prince x Mahon) is an ISR/Oldenburg NA Premium mare .
